March Real Estate Update
Hi Everyone and Happy Spring!
Spring is officially here, and it’s already shaping up to be an exciting season! New listings are popping up each week, and interest rates are slowly dipping into the low 6’s—great news for buyers and sellers alike.
We’ve had a strong start to the season, with our first few listings receiving multiple offers and exceeding expectations. Two homes even sold privately before hitting the market,
(yes, that can happen when it makes sense for everyone—so reach out if you’d like to learn more). One of our latest listings,
838 46th St. in North Oakland, is sold now after receiving five offers! We also have several gorgeous homes in the works that we’re excited to share with you in the coming months.
Springtime in the Garden 🌿 Let’s put down some roots!
This is an amazing time of year for gardening—the soil is soft and ready to work, bulbs and perennials are waking up, and trees are bursting into bloom. Finally spring is here!
If you're planting things to harvest for your table, early spring is perfect for cooler-season crops like carrots, beets, radishes, and leafy greens. It’s also a great time to start your seeds for summer favorites like tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, garlic, pole beans, and herbs, so they’ll be ready to plant when it warms up a bit more.
Now is also a great time to check your irrigation system and make any needed repairs before the dry months set in. If you’re looking to add some drought-tolerant and native plants to your garden, you can’t go wrong with California poppies, hummingbird sage, yarrow, and lupine—all beautiful and well-suited to our East Bay climate.
For inspiration, guidance, and all your plant needs, here are a few of our favorite local nurseries:
Berkeley Horticulture
UC Berkeley Botanical Garden Plant Nursery and Shop
Yarrow Nursery
Wishing you a wonderful start to spring! As always, we’re here if you need anything.
Cheers,
Maria, Corey, Anita and Carla
